about our school

inspiring a love of learning in the early years that matter most

Primary

From barely waddling to confidently toddling, development is happening at a rapid pace during the ages from 1 to 3. Waddler and Toddler environments provide the materials and guidance to cultivate a strong foundation for all future learning.

Guides are sensitive to each child’s progression and help present challenges that inspire growth in language, focus, problem solving, and physical coordination.

Our Montessori Primary program is more than just preschool. Children who complete all three years of primary Montessori education emerge with a love of learning that lasts a lifetime.

Hands-on materials allow for exploration, critical thinking, self-directed problem solving and discipline. These skills serve the child not only in reading and math, but in readiness for life.

Toddlers

especially in their first year, is an emotional decision. At Meadow Oaks Montessori, we honor the trust families place in us by creating a nurturing and consistent environment where your children will feel safe, seen, and lovingly supported.

Yes, we provide lunch and snack to children in our Waddlers, Toddlers, and Primary program.
Snack preparation is part of our Practical Life curriculum. Parents are notified in advance and receive a grocery list for the requested supplies.

For infants in our Nido program, parents supply prepared bottles for infants consuming breastmilk or formula. We support nursing mothers and welcome you to nurse your child at school.

What is the enrollment process?

Thank you for your interest in enrollment. The enrollment process begins with a tour of our school and an in-person meeting.

We will provide an enrollment application and there is a $50 application fee. When you submit an application, we will schedule a family visit to the school. During the visit, your child will have an opportunity to visit the classroom and experience the school environment. We will meet with you and your child to assess our alignment to you and your child’s needs. Upon review of your application and family visit, you will receive an acceptance decision. Once accepted, we will invite you to complete registration documents, provide a classroom assignment, and schedule your student’s start date. We look forward to meeting you and showing you how children learn and thrive at Meadow Oaks Montessori.

Please note that we are often on a waitlist, especially for our Nido (infant) program. Families that are expecting a new baby may enter our waitlist based on your anticipated start date. Please submit your inquiry about the waitlist on our contact form.

Welcome to Meadow Oaks Montessori. When we decided to open this school, we saw a need for an authentic Montessori program to serve the families in North Dallas. Since its founding in 2020, our school has offered children a warm, nurturing and respectful environment where they feel at home.

Montessori is not a trend. We believe that all children benefit from scientifically backed Montessori learning methods and that this approach is the best way to help the whole child develop. Our guides and the parents in our school community have a common goal: that the children in our care will develop into kind, responsible, confident and capable humans that choose to make a positive impact on the world, starting here at school and home.

We hold ourselves to standards of excellence in delivering a prepared environment, with prepared adults, to serve the children. This means we must all do our part and make decisions based on the best interest of the child.

I hope you will explore our site to learn more about us and I invite you to schedule a private tour of our school to see for yourself how much care, love, and attention are poured into each child that is entrusted to us at Meadow Oaks Montessori.

Thoughtfully,

Executive Director & Head of School
